Deceptor - Chains of Delusion

Deceptor is an old school metal band, pre-thrash era styled. While they do not sound like Judas Priest, and specifically pre Defenders of the Faith, it would appear there is an influence, that and some old Iron Maiden as well. This is a really rockin’ EP besides the Transmission 1 and 2 intro and interlude. Heat seeker is the standout track for sure. Oblivion’s Call ends the EP, and those familiar with Paul Di’anno era Maiden might really hear what I am talking about. Just like Cold Steel that I reviewed earlier, I love to hear bands bring back a bit of the 80’s sounding metal. It is a real nice change up from time to time. This is a real solid EP.
