Helmsplitter- Storms of Genocide

Upon listening to Illinois’ own Helmsplitter, I wasn’t sure exactly where they were heading.  One minute they are death metal, the next they have a blackened vibe.  Further on, they even touch on some punk and then what we call here “swamp groove” ala Soilent Green!  The way it sounds you think I’m going to bash these guys………nah, not at all!  I say keep ’em guessing!  I enjoy when a band can change things up within a CD, much less the same song!  Keep it going and I’ll keep listening!!

Helmsplitter- Storms of Genocide

I personally can’t get enough of the swamp groove. I believe this band has great potential and is a great listen for all you metalheads.…
