Rotten Liver - Purification by Debauchery

Here is an EP put out by a band that has very little about themselves on the Internet. They hail from France. So I will discuss the EP based solely on the music.

This is a conglomeration of sounds, while listed as Black Metal I don’t think that covers all the sounds that the band is dealing with here. There is doom, thrash, punky Motorhead rhythms in parts. There are bluesy rock riff breaking up thunderous drives. While I would not call this progressive it does keep the listener guessing and in a good way.

The song Black n’ Rot sounds like Murder Dolls meets Motorhead with deep violent growls. Purification By Debauchery is on the mellower side of this assault but still lets us in on what the violation of a nun sounds like at the tolling of a bell or perhaps the beginning of AC/DC’s Hells Bells.

I recommend checking out Rotten Liver and see what you think.
